Well, this oughta be good. (I'm so tired of making these posts but I got into an argument with my dad.) SPOILERS FOR THOR MOVIES AND INFINITY WAR TRAILER.)  A true villain is someone who usually doesn't care about anyone but themselves and will stop at nothing. A true hero is basically the opposite. Video games. One of the most controversial topics of our time. One of the things that get parents constantly scratching their heads, wondering how their kids got into this mess, and how they can save them before it's too late. But don't worry. I'm here to clear some things up.  With the media blowing up over violence of late, video games have received a lot of unnecessary hate. I'm here to clear a few things up for parents.  NEWS OUTLETS BLOW THINGS OUT OF PROPORTION. Please keep this in mind when you consider this. Are games really responsible for mass murder? And why is it, that the very same people who say guns are not the problem, only violent people, are blaming video games? In no particular order, here we go! I never cry over movies, but I bawled at the end of La La Land. My OCD brain finds something oddly appealing about authoritarian communism. I'm not saying I support it, just that there's a tiny part of me who wouldn't mind time traveling back and living in the USSR. I'm not really that authoritarian though ;). After talking to a bunch of people I had picked up on the fact that you don't want to live in Western Pennsylvania right now. Everyone and their great-grandmother is being hit by the same horrible flu strain, regardless of whether or not they had their flu shots, and that people have actually died from this(!!) To be fair, they were all over sixty and must have had some other complications, but scary nonetheless. So I was just chilling (I'd gotten my flu shot about six weeks earlier) and was waiting to get picked up to go to my friends' house on Monday, and I realized that I had a sore throat and a drip. I thought it was the fluctuating weather, because in Western PA it's not uncommon for it to go between 20 and 60 degrees in a day, so I went on to my friends' for my routine Monday afternoon stay.  I helped the ten-year-old girl surprise her therapist, and I pet the cat, and felt increasingly more gross.
