EMBARRASSING CONFESSIONS!

In no particular order, here we go! I never cry over movies, but I bawled at the end of La La Land. My OCD brain finds something oddly appealing about authoritarian communism. I'm not saying I support it, just that there's a tiny part of me who wouldn't mind time traveling back and living in the USSR. I'm not really that authoritarian though ;). To me it just feels like a fantasy novel, and you want to live there, until you do (a la Hunger Games or Harry Potter). In a similar vein a part of me always wanted to be a hippie. No, seriously. Like a real, honest-to-goodness hippie. Here's me in my John Lennon costume from last Halloween, lol. I love dill pickles. Plain. I used to be a swiftie, and I still bop to "Shake it Off". I can't eat certain cheese, Kraft macaroni, cake frosting, scrambled eggs, etc. I just can't do it without wanting to gag. And that's not an ew I don't like it, that's I literally can't. I am a HUGE

I GOT SICK!~SCARY EXPERIENCE

After talking to a bunch of people I had picked up on the fact that you don't want to live in Western Pennsylvania right now. Everyone and their great-grandmother is being hit by the same horrible flu strain, regardless of whether or not they had their flu shots, and that people have actually died from this(!!) To be fair, they were all over sixty and must have had some other complications, but scary nonetheless. So I was just chilling (I'd gotten my flu shot about six weeks earlier) and was waiting to get picked up to go to my friends' house on Monday, and I realized that I had a sore throat and a drip. I thought it was the fluctuating weather, because in Western PA it's not uncommon for it to go between 20 and 60 degrees in a day, so I went on to my friends' for my routine Monday afternoon stay.  I helped the ten-year-old girl surprise her therapist, and I pet the cat, and felt increasingly more gross. I had gotten up at six-thirty for school, and I was feeling

Novel FAQ

I've told a lot of people that I am/was/already finished writing a novel. I'm going to do my best to answer these questions without spoiling the plot. Here goes.  What's the novel about? Man, I hate these questions. There's so much to it. It is about two girls living in the 1980s who are pen pals, told from alternating perspectives. One lives in the USA and the other lives in the USSR.  What age range is it good for? It'll depend on the parent. I'd say it's some pretty heavy subject matter and good for 13 and up. There's a good bit of mild swearing, and a couple of offensive words, and plenty of insults, but it's all portrayed for realism. There's not much sex, an older character talks about how people tried to approach her and she said no/she's in love with another character, but they're in a healthy relationship. There's some alcohol consumption and a few people get drunk...it's Soviet Russia. Also, I think a couple peopl

FAQ Part 2

Ok. What movie didn't meet your expectations? The Secret Life of Pets . It looked cute and funny, and it tried to be a dark edgy Zootopia ripoff. What a shame! For perspective I do like Illumination Entertainment. What movie exceeded expectations? Wonder Woman . Heard it was great, but not that great. Last Jedi . A lot of people were mixed; I loved it as a longtime fan personally, although I am struggling with the reveal about Rey's background. I hope to do Star Wars reviews at some point. Good movies you saw in the past few months, outside of the theater? Weirdly, I saw two movies set at sea, even though I am claustrophobic and I get motion sick. The first one was Titanic , and I personally enjoyed it, even though a lot of people I've talked to didn't like it. The other was The Hunt for Red October, which was a really good movie even though I don't watch submarine movies. Movies you got for Christmas? Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Mockingjay Pt. 1 and 2, Th

About Me and FAQ!

Hey guys! This will be an FAQ post where I answer all of the oh-so-burning questions. Enjoy!  What's your real name? Do you have a nickname? My real name is Sarah Bethany, and I do not have a nickname. I used to be a princess, but I didn't like all the dresses and parties, so Sarah, Miss Sarah, or Comrade Sarah is fine:).  What's with that background? I was just browsing the default backgrounds and I thought it was cool to have recycling symbols, as I am an environmentalist:).  How did you get your profile picture looking so good? I just took it on my iPod touch and added some cool lighting effects and black and white from the options menu in the photos app.  What's with the blog title? Well, I am a little dreamer, and my favorite game is Super Mario Galaxy and galaxies encompass everything.  What's with the username? So, you a commie then? Maybe....No, not really. I'm just not a princess anymore. I do miss the old username, XD. I didn&#
